This wonderful place in Garama Village - Garama River, Sabah; located about 130km from Kota Kinabalu. It’s about 2 hour ride from Kota Kinabalu. The highlight of this destination ~ of course, seeing the remarkable Proboscis Monkey in the wild! Seeing the bizarre monkey with their natural behaviour in the mangroves is truly a wonderful experience.
Besides having the opportunity to see the Proboscis Monkey, one may also get the chance to see variety of birds, the common Macaque gathering in large numbers, sighting of the rare Silver Langour, large group of water buffalo and if you’re lucky enough, you may see crocodiles by the river bank.

Itinerary13:30 Depart to the Southwestern part of Sabah. Journey takes roughly 1 hour 45 mins.
15:30 Upon arrival, coffee & tea will be served with some cake made by local people.
16:00 Onboard comfortable fiberglass boat – Cruise down for almost 2 hours in search
for wildlife.
18:00 Enjoy sumptuous Malaysian dinner served in glimmering lanterns hug around the
lodging. Catch the glimpse of fireflies slowly lighting up and decorating the
mangrove trees. Listen to the crickets singing while you walk back to the coach.
21:00 Estimated arrival to Kota Kinabalu. Visit to chocolate outlet store.
